The Pleasant Hill Adult Center offers a series of woodworking classes geared to a wide variety of subjects and varying woodworking experience levels.
The school year is divided into four terms starting in September, January, April and July. Not all classes are taught each term. The July term has an abbreviated class schedule. Classes are taught morning, afternoon and evening and generally last three hours. Students must complete Woodworking 1 and 2 before taking any of the other courses [except Hand Tools and the mini courses], or they must be able to demonstrate woodworking proficiency and full knowledge of woodworking shop safety practices.
Class sizes are usually limited. Advanced registration is required for all classes. All classes are held in ROOMS 207, 208, or 112, Pleasant Hill Education Center. Students should furnish their own materials. All woodworking students are required to provide, and wear - as appropriate, eye protection that meets the ANSI Z87.1 standards and hearing protection that provides a noise reduction rating of at least 20 decibels.
