Feb. 2003 My goal for this project was to memorialize the tree in a likeness of the tree itself. I used a photograph of the tree as a pattern and cut the design with my scroll saw. Since this piece is somewhat fragile, I decided to frame it under glass. This allows the piece to be viewed from different angles and let light filter through its branches. The frame is made from the same piece of wood. Dimensions are approximately 12 inches high by 17 inches wide.
